Privacy Policy

Last updated: 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how Owtrue ("we", "us") collects, uses, and protects information when you use our website and product.

1. Information we collect

  • Account data: name, email, and workspace details you provide when signing up.
  • End-user data: when your visitors interact with a widget, we store the ideas, votes, comments, feedback, and any name or email they choose to provide.
  • Usage data: minimal product events (e.g. widget opened, idea created) to power your dashboard analytics.

2. How we use information

We use data to provide and improve the Service, deliver widgets and surveys, process billing, and communicate with you. We do not sell your data.

3. Cookies & local storage

The embedded widget uses local storage to remember an anonymous device identifier so votes and submissions persist across sessions. Our dashboard uses cookies for authentication.

4. Data sharing

We share data only with the service providers needed to run Owtrue (e.g. hosting, database, payment processing) under appropriate data protection terms, or when required by law.

5. Data retention

We retain data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service. You can request deletion of your workspace data at any time.

6. Your rights

Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete your personal data. To exercise these rights, contact support@owtrue.com.

7. Security

We use industry-standard measures to protect data in transit and at rest. No method of transmission is completely secure, but we work to protect your information.
